Software Developer Intern
Location: Bandung, Indonesia (Online) Type: Internship — Unpaid Duration: 3–6 months Department: Engineering
Job Summary
We are looking for a Software Developer Intern who is eager to learn and ready to get hands-on experience building real business software. As part of our development team, you will work on Odoo ERP implementation projects for local and international clients — developing custom modules with Python, building views and reports with XML/QWeb, and supporting testing and documentation.
This is not a shadowing program. You will be mentored directly by senior developers and work within our actual team workflow: Git branching, code review, and the staging-to-production pipeline. If you have a foundation in programming, enjoy solving problems, and want to learn fast in a dynamic environment, we would like to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Assist in developing and customizing Odoo modules using Python and the Odoo ORM framework
- Build and modify user interfaces and reports using XML, QWeb, and JavaScript (OWL)
- Support data migration and import tasks for client onboarding
- Write and execute test cases to verify functionality before deployment
- Debug and troubleshoot issues reported during development and UAT
- Prepare technical documentation for the modules you work on
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code review sessions
What We're Looking For
Required
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Basic understanding of at least one programming language (Python preferred)
- Familiarity with relational databases and basic SQL
- Understanding of version control fundamentals (Git)
- Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn independently
- Able to communicate clearly in both Indonesian and English
- Available for a minimum commitment of 3 months
Nice to Have
- Prior exposure to Odoo, Django, or another Python web framework
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with Linux or WSL environments
- Personal projects, coursework, or a GitHub portfolio you can share
- Interest in ERP, business process automation, or enterprise software
What You'll Get
- Direct mentorship from experienced Odoo developers
- Real exposure to live client projects, not simulated exercises
- Practical experience with professional development workflows and tools
- Internship certificate and letter of recommendation upon successful completion
- Opportunity to be considered for a full-time role based on performance
- Support for academic internship requirements and reporting
Please note this is an unpaid internship focused on learning and skill development. Meal and transport allowance may be provided depending on arrangement.
